Home ... Hunting
Our hunt is in Moose Management Areas 4, where we our hunting camp.
If you are a bow hunter, our hunting season starts in the last
weekend of August, with the season for rifle hunting starting in the
second week of September. This past season our moose hunts were 95% successful
and our caribou hunts were 75% successful!
Our Caribou Lake camp is located in the White Bay region of the Northern Peninsula of
Newfoundland, Canada. The cabin has an open kitchen and social area, a cook, an outdoor
toilet, and sleeping quarters for two sportsmen.
We harvest up to 50 inch antler spreads and the hunt runs for one week periods.
If you would like, we also offer a free bear hunt with each moose and caribou
hunting package. Bears aren't as plentiful as moose and caribou, but many hunters have had
very successful hunts.
Each of our guides has one or two hunters accompanying them on each trip.
We meet our hunters at Deer Lake, Newfoundland, which is easily reached by car, or
by plane if you prefer. Deer Lake is located on the Trans Canada Highway and is serviced
by its own airport. Contact us for directions if needed.
The hunters are then flown into the hunting camps via float plane, usually on a
Sunday, and return on the following Sunday.
